if you want to over pay for yoga pants, go to sport check...

went to sport chek at sundridge to buy a mma mouthpiece and a ball glove for my grandson...

the store is now 2/3 of overpriced women's 'sport' clothes with some hockey, baseball, and bicycle stuff...found nothing...

in fact it took 3 people to show me where the mouth guards are and when i asked to open a package to make sure it's the type of guard i need, the lady said no...

set it down, thanked the kid for helping me and left the store to never to come back...

this is a store where women can spend more time looking good in their overpriced stuff instead of being serious for sports...

Continuing with my previous review…

Continuing with my previous review about Sport Check's inferior quality racquet. Providing update here:
I contacted them online. They said the relevant sports check store (City Centre, Edmonton, AB) will get back to me in 2-3 days.
What a pathetic approach, this is the 9th day and I'm still waiting for their response.
Please beware of shopping racquets from there, I would never trust their quality.

Beware of hidden website terms!

I would avoid buying from them at all costs. Their online order flow does not notify consumers of their return policies exceptions and instead they bury the terms on their website. What consumer will scour their website to find them before they order? Plus they do not even bother to deliver via email those terms to consumers with their order confirmation and invoice. Sketchy business practices and zero customer service. Their complaint process caused me to have to explain the same thing multiple times to different people and also repeat what i put in writing. Horrendous consumer experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I love coming to Sport Check for…

I love coming to Sport Check for fitness apparel for running, hiking equipment, and shoes. A lot of locations I've been to always seem to be sold out in bigger shoe sizes for women, which can be annoying. However I always find great clothes at reasonable prices. It seems like they always have a sale going on! One of the only downsides to shopping at Sport Chek is constantly being bothered by employees trying to get you to sign up for the Canadian Tire mastercard.

Typical big box store.

Done a few online shoe and clothing orders through the pandemic and they've been good. Orders could be processed a bit quicker, but wasn't an unreasonable delay, a few days. Easy to find items on sale, from brands that I like. One item they didn't have so they sent me a coupon for a huge discount. No complaints.

Scam Company, don't order Online from Sportchek.

Received an empty box, no Garmin 66st GPS inside. Called customer service, told a refund processing in 1 - 2 days. Investigations called to say it takes 1 - 2 weeks to investigate, and maybe someone sent the box without the 'display model'. I said I didn't order a display model.
$#*!ing $#*!s, I hope they go bankrupt, horrendous customer service, and they evidently have a major theft problem at their warehouse.

The worst customer service experience ever

Purchased a pair of new Keen boots online on Dec-28 for $200.
Received them on Jan-4, so shipping was not bad. But, its all downhill from here on.
The boots were previously used, yes, that's right see the photos.
Called customer service they told me to take them back to the nearest store which I did on Jan-5.
They refunded me and then the store placed an order for another pair via their online system that I paid for in store. They said the new boots would be shipping to me direct.
Two days later on Jan-7 I receive the boots and they are the exact same ones I received the first time! What the heck!
I call customer service again, I was on hold endlessly as the agent tried to figure out how to deal with this (not his fault, he tried his best). I was on the phone for over 2 hours in the end I asked to speaker to a supervisor and was forwarded to someone in their retail division and basically was told to take them back to the store.
What a run around, just unbelievable. Their business systems are very poorly organized, it appears staff are not adequately trained to deal with customer returns and with checking merchandise before it is shipped out. And how is it even possible they ship out the same pair of boots? Lack of communication, between managers and employees? I have no idea.
I purchase many items on line, by far this has been the very, very worst ever customer service experience I have ever had to deal with, just terrible.
I will never purchase anything online from them ever again.
In fact I am now reluctant even to visit any of their stores.
I gave one star because that's the lowest but perhaps also because I managed to squeeze a 10% off online only voucher from them which, I may never use but someone else may enjoy if they so choose.

Scarborough Store

Scarborough store. Insufficient cashiers. Approximately 20 people waiting in line and only 2 cashiers working. Store is dirty. A lot of merchandise on the floor. Insufficient stock. Not all sizes stocked and many opened boxes. At first I thought perhaps it was going out of business. Maybe it is. This is not a staff issue, this is a management problem.

Good customer service from Head Office.

They have been utilizing a courier service named JoeyCo. I have only had problems with this specific carrier. Three separate orders within 8 months and not one phone call from a single driver.

Luckily for me, I was helped by three understanding SportChek reps. which resolved the issues with my orders.
